Why compressing the java script files of your website will attract more users

I have gone to a lot of websites that take a really long time to load, and it happens that I cannot go to another website because that one website is more reliable than the rest. So I usually suck it up and wait for it to put itself together and then when it loads, I can go to another page and also wait for it to load too. On the other hand there are those websites that are equally reliable, and very informative too and the difference with the other website is that they are very fast, they do not take an eternity to load. I came to learn that this is so because the owners of such websites, know that they have a lot of content in their website so what they get someone who knows how to gzip javascript. By applying the gzip property, then you are able to reduce the size of your files that consist of java script which makes a really important component for them. By doing this, you will be able to make your site run a little faster and web users will prefer it to other websites.
