The Best Convection Oven Tips

If you're new to using convection ovens (or just cooking with ovens, in general), I have gathered just a few of the best convection oven user tips that will hopefully help you ease you into using your convection oven.
The first is that preheating is very important. Save for roasting food, preheating your oven is essential to heating your food properly! This is because you want the food to be heated evenly, so by preheating the oven, you ensure that by the time you put your food inside, the heat is dispersed well by the fan.
Another tip is to be used when baking. When baking cookies in your convection oven, be sure to always use shallow pans. A pan with higher sides might prevent your cookies from browning right, so avoid using such pans. Also, if the baking time required is less that 15 minutes long, reduce the temperature of the oven by about 30 F to avoid burning the pastries.
Finally, you must rememeber to always keep the pan containing your food at least an inch away from all sides of the oven's walls.
