When you embark on an electrical wiring project, you know that it will cost you. There's no way to avoid it: electrical wiring prices are high. Still, the rates are not unreasonable: just think, a wiring or rewiring job are usually quite extensive in terms of scope and size, often encompassing entire homes and buildings. The electrical contractors engaged for the task are responsible for numerous tasks, and in addition to the installation work, must constantly make sure that the wiring is safe and secure. True, if you own a three room apartment, you will pay less than someone living in a seven room house, but the additional costs of materials, the price of the wire, and any other electrical features you may wish to have installed as part of the project, will all take their toll on your wallet. There are some small measures you can take to slightly reduce the costs. Primarily, before you select a contractor for the job ask for several estimates from different electricians. While you should under no circumstances settle for quality, there is no reason to hire the most expensive contractor. If any part of your home which should be wired or rewired is inaccessible, clear out the obstructions. Electricians will charge more if their work conditions are less than convenient. Also, electrical contractors recommend that the residents of the home being wired evacuate the premises for the duration of the project. Electricians find that with people in the house, they cannot work as quickly as when the house is empty. If the work is slow, it means it will last longer, which also means additional costs. While electrical wiring prices are high, there are some things you can do to slightly lower them. |

College students are people who have learned the skill of cutting costs at all manners possible. They will buy cheap food, buy a second hand car, and chose a very affordable insurance cover that will most probably cost them a lot when it comes to paying off for damages caused during accidents, because the insurance cover will not be able to cover it. Some even go as far as taking the bus so that they can not get any expenses when it comes to paying for fuel for their cars. Because most of them are in school due to student loans, they know that upon graduating they are going to have to pay the loan off and so most of them even cut off the costs for the loans by renting an apartment near campus. When they rent this apartment and it has problems with the wiring perhaps, they will decide to estimate the rewire costs and go for the very cheap ones. They will probably go for an electrician they know and talk him or her in to letting her or him pay them off in installments.

Though my house has teak doors and a granite floor, there are no architectural wonders to speak of in our house. However, I would like to make two changes in my house. One is in our kitchen and the next is in our hall. Arch doorways give a classy look to our whole house. So I would like to remove the wooden door that is present and replace it with an arch. It won't have any doors, but just an entrance in the shape of arch. And to improve the effect I would like to place a teak border of about 5 inch thickness along the arch. The teak wood would have intricate woodwork of maybe my favorite flowers.
The change I would like to make to the hall is actually an extension. I would like to add a room for myself on the top floor, i.e. 2nd floor in our case. And that room could be reached by a wooden stairway that goes from the middle of the hall. At the end of the stairway would be my room's door. These would be my only immediate changes if I get the chance to do so.
Finally I'd make some renovations so that there's at least some space for a garden, even a small one with a nice little ornate gazebo in it. In my opinion, gardens complete a house. |

Oh if only I could trade these cold winter winds for warm summer breezes. I huffed and puffed each day that it grew hotter, and now I wish I could have those days back! It is amazing what a warm summer day can do to a person. On a nice warm afternoon I could take my daughter to the park and swing her on the swings, and lounge under a gazebo too, with a cold drink. Now I'm lucky to make it to the car without getting frostbite! Summer days are the best! You can visit theme parks and enjoy the weather in cute shorts and halter tops. You can take a dip in the ocean, or go camping one warm night. The summertime has so much to offer that only a hot summer day can offer. Ice cold lemonade served out of a large pitcher while you lounge on a picnic blanket and enjoy the breeze. I love how the sun feels warming my skin. You also can't beat the fun of having a family barbeque in the backyard! |

In a way, my house is like my castle. I love everything about my house already, and I adore the fact that I have the freedom to edit it and alter it as I please. And I protect it like it's a castle. I don't have a moat, but I do have a very effective cctv home security system.
Having said that, my house is not perfect, and there are a few things I've always wanted to do to expand upon it. First, I've always wanted to add a second, lower layer to my deck that leads onto my backyard. I am actually planning on doing this in the summer when the weather gets warmer. After that, if I can afford it, I've always wanted to change the makeup of the master bedroom inside a little bit, and add a large walk-in closet to it. Right now, the master bedroom has some very limited closet space, and I think a walk-in closet would be a pretty awesome looking addition, in addition to providing some very useful extra space. |
