Ten years ago, when we visited France, we stayed in a beautiful French manor house, or manoir. It was a charming, traditional property and was full of delightful period homewares.
This consisted of a stunning French tapestry used as a wall hanging, displayed on large cast iron rods. We also noted the fine French furniture, original oak parquet flooring, some lovely wall hung cast iron radiators. However, it was the French period homewares that really caught our attention. These included pretty fabric cushions, floral lines, lace tablecloths, pretty floral porcelain, stylish French glass demijohns, fine brass candlesticks, elegant religious statues, pretty kitchenwares with traditional wine and water pitchers, glass and china fruitbowls and beautiful antique wine glasses. There was also some lovely silverwares, including silver cruet sets with salt, pepper and mustard pots.
It was a really charming property and demonstrated great taste and style - a great example of French style. |

Having a lot of children is a joy especially is there are enough resources to take care of all the children. My wife and I have six children and we take care of them the best way that we can. They never lack anything, they are all in academies and they get the best education. When each of them was born we would open a business that would fund their trust funds, we have at least six businesses. The thing with having a lot of children is that they use a lot of power. We have four girls and they spend so much time in the shower they finish hot water for the boys and that is why we implemented boilers. We had a basingstoke electrician to install the boiler and every month he would come back and make certain that it was working well. This helped us get peace in the house in the morning because no matter how long the girls spent in the shower, the boys still got hot water at the end of the morning. |

After working in a multi-national company for years and earning a lot of money, I cannot understand why I felt empty. Despite the fact that I was able to buy all the things that I wanted whenever I want them still didn’t make me satisfied life was meaningless somehow. This is the reason why I tried something drastic and volunteered in one of the shelters in our neighborhood and what was crazier was that I opted to wash the kitchen floors as my volunteer work. I tried to hide what I was doing from my colleagues but for some reason they were able to find out and they started making fun of me. When I first started this work, I thought that I will readily quit once people in my office learned about what I was doing. However, it has been a couple of months since the teasing started yet I cannot get myself to quit. I am not sure it makes sense but I feel a lot more useful on my knees here in the shelter, than seating comfortably in my huge office. |
